In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate. Praise be to God; there is no god but He, the Living, the Self-Subsisting; He has no partner; the One, the Eternal; He begets not, nor was He begotten, and there is none equal to Him. Muḥammad is the servant of God and His messenger, whom God sent with the guidance and the religion of truth, to make it prevail over all religion, even though the polytheists dislike it. We believe in God and in what was sent down to Muḥammad and in what was given to the prophets from their Lord; we make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we submit. God bless Muḥammad, His servant and His prophet, and peace be upon him, and the mercy of God, His blessings, His forgiveness and His good pleasure. Among what the servant of God ʿAbdallāh, the imam al-Maʾmūn, Commander of the Faithful, ordered, may God prolong his life, under the governorship of the brother of the Commander of the Faithful, Abū Isḥāq, son of the Commander of the Faithful al-Rashīd, may God preserve him; carried out by Ṣāliḥ ibn Yaḥyā, client of the Commander of the Faithful, in the month of Rabīʿ al-Ākhir of the year two hundred and sixteen.

The smaller of the two copper plaques from the doors of the Dome of the Rock, which hung above the inner side of the north door; it is now in the Islamic Museum of the Ḥaram in Jerusalem. Like its companion over the east door (QMI-INS-014), its letters are raised in gilded repoussé on a blue ground. Inside its frame it measures 238 × 52 cm; the two original panels measure about 120.5 × 37 and 121.5–122 × 35.4–37 cm.
