O God, be pleased with ʿAmr ibn ... And Yaḥyā ibn ʿAmr wrote [this], in the latter part of the year six and seventy.

The continuation of ʿAmr's own patronymic is damaged and illegible ("ibn ..."). More telling is the scribe's own signature: Yaḥyā identifies himself as "ibn ʿAmr" immediately after praying for someone named ʿAmr, which makes it very likely this is a son's prayer for his own father rather than for an unrelated namesake. The prayer uses riḍā ("contentment"/"being pleased with") rather than the more common ghufrān ("forgiveness") formula seen elsewhere in this corpus. Another inscription of the same year, from the Medina region, records only that it was written on a Friday (QMI-INS-016b).
