O God, forgive ʿAbd- allāh ibn Saʿd ibn ʿAbd- allāh ibn Saʿd ibn Abī Dhubāb al-Namarī. Āmīn, Lord of the Worlds. And he commanded this assembly (majlis) in Jumādā, in the year eight and eighty.

A four-generation genealogy packed into a single prayer (ʿAbdallāh ibn Saʿd ibn ʿAbdallāh ibn Saʿd ibn Abī Dhubāb, of the Banū al-Namir), on the same rock face at Qāʿ al-Muʿtadil as several other Darb al-Ḥajj inscriptions in this catalog. The reference to "this assembly" (hādhā al-majlis) is unusual, hinting at some gathering or occasion tied to the inscription's creation that the text does not further explain.
