A rare poetic (rather than devotional or documentary) inscription in this corpus — four lines of verse reflecting on the sun's daily cycle as a metaphor for the passage of time and the wearing-away of all that is new, signed by a self-identified Hāshimite (a member of the Prophet's clan). Almost nothing else in the catalog resembles it in genre.
