The trust of ʿĀṣim ibn ʿUmar ibn Ḥafṣ is in the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting, and he wrote [this] in the year one hundred.
The final dated entry in this catalog (100 AH), closing the corpus on the same divine epithets — al-Ḥayy al-Qayyūm, "the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting" — quoted from Āyat al-Kursī that opened the inscription of ʿAlī ibn ʿAbdallāh (no. 41) seven years earlier. ʿĀṣim's own genealogy (ibn ʿUmar ibn Ḥafṣ) closely echoes the family names seen in both inscriptions of Rabāḥ ibn Ḥafṣ ibn ʿĀṣim (nos. 43 and 54), suggesting these may be members of the same extended family leaving inscriptions across the Ḥijāz over several years. The same ʿĀṣim left a second dated prayer at Rawāwah in 121 AH (QMI-INS-055wb), and his brother Muḥammad one in 114 AH (QMI-INS-055aha).
