Indeed, God and [His] a- ngels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who be- lieve, invoke blessings upon him and greet him with peace (Q 33:56). And wrote [this] ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Muʿammar, in the year two and thirty and one hundred.
An eleven-line carved quotation of Qurʾān 33:56, the verse on God and His angels sending blessings upon the Prophet, followed by the name of the writer, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Muʿammar, and the date 132 AH (749–750 CE), at the end of the Umayyad period. It is one of the few dated inscriptions in the catalog that quote the Qurʾān directly rather than a personal prayer.
